Is there a good mechanism by which to send an announcement?

Thanks, Akif. I will put together an announcement and would love it if you could feature it. I will also start a discussion - each a little later today, as I have to prepare to teach a workshop right now!

Hi Akif,

Thanks! I'm glad to be a part of this community - thanks to Linnea Fletcher for directing me to you. I wonder if you can help me - I am hoping to get the word out about some workshops that are designed to enable student research experiences. Is there a mechanism to reach the membership?

Thanks for any guidance - I'll also take a look around and see if I can figure it out.

Hi Akif,

April said she had a busy but engaging time up in DC. It was good to hear about what you've been up to, and you sound like you've been busy too. I look forward to learning more about the PULSE work.

Hey Akif,

I agree, it is fairly tedious. Stavros friended the 40 fellows one at a time. From my knowledge thus far, there isn't a way for an administrator to make people "friends." I will dig around in the settings and look anyway. I'll let you know what I'm able to find.

It was nice.  I had just finished a 14 mile kayaking trip that day (the fourth and final day of a long trip circumnavigating Catalina).  The kayaking trip was already worth it - beautiful weather, plenty of wildlife (bald eagles, flying fish, garibaldi, mako sharks, etc..), and both calm and challenging (wind) conditions.  On that last day, I reached my destination and then climbed to the second highest peak on the island (~2000 feet) in 5 miles.  I was looking West out into the Pacific reflecting on the wonderful days that had passed.  Of course, I did fracture my left wrist on day 2 landing the kayak in rough seas on a rocky beach but that is another story!

If you are an undergraduate life science educator, department chair, or administrator, we invite you to join PULSE and make your department a model of Vision and Change in undergraduate life science education!
