  • Genome TV - A YouTube channel containing research lectures provided by the NHGRI (National Human Genome Research Institute - genome.gov). A great source for genome research's contributions to understanding human disease.
  • iBioSeminars - iBioSeminars.org was developed to bring the best biology to people throughout the world for free. Started in 2007 by University of California - San Francisco and Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator, Professor Ron Vale, iBioSeminars has grown to include over 160 seminars and short talks by the world’s leading scientists. Our collection includes 18 talks by Nobel Laureates and 77 talks by members of the National Academy of Sciences. In 2013, we released our first full-length course in Light Microscopy and expanded the educational resources we offer. iBioSeminars is funded by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, and supported by the American Society for Cell Biology.
  • TED Talks (science) - A large set of video lectures of "ideas worth spreading." There are many lectures of interest ot science educators.
  • Science 360 - Science360 Knowledge Network immerses visitors in the latest wonders of science, engineering, technology and math. We gather the latest science videos provided by scientists, colleges and universities, science and engineering centers, the National Science Foundation and more. Each video is embeddable to put on your own personal websites, blogs and social networking pages. Science360 engages the general public, science junkies and students alike in the cutting-edge discoveries and big science stories of the day. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Science360 is an up-to-date view of breaking science from around the world.
  • Free Online Biology Courses - A listing of some online Biology courses. Some of the lectures are high quality and could be used as homework assignments. This would afford the opportunity to implement active learning in class (see Flipped Classes).
  • Cinematic Lectures for "The Flow of Life" - A series of YouTube playlists with cinematic lectures covering Introductory Biology topics related to the flow of energy (metabolism, biosynthesis, photosynthesis) and information (basic transmission genetics and central dogma processes) in cells and organisms - see Flipped Classes.
