Mid-Atlantic PULSE (MAP)

Welcome to the Mid-Atlantic network!  This region is composed of undergraduate institutions in Delaware, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, northern Virginia, and Washington, D.C.  There are four PULSE Leadership Fellows from diverse institutional types who coordinate this region:

Loretta Brancaccio-Taras, Kingsborough Community College-CUNY

Alix Fink, Longwood University

Marcy Kelly, Pace University

Jacqueline Washington, Nyack College

 

The first MAP Workshop will be held October 30, 2015 at Pace University, New York, NY.  This workshop will provide an opportunity for institutional teams of faculty and administrators from the NY Metro area to:

  • engage with the PULSE V&C rubrics to help to assess a department’s current alignment of their curriculum with Vision and Changelearn about the strategies used by departments that have successfully adopted the Vision and Change recommendations
  • learn about the resources for life science  educatorsthrough the  PULSE toolkit
  • develop a shared action plan for departmental change
