Hello SW PULSErs,

In our open zoom meeting last night, we had a great discussion of the SCPI grant proposal being prepared by David Marcey and Rich Cardullo. On of the signature pieces of discussion arose when Adriana Visbal (UHD) suggested that the SCPI workshop have a story or two of change that could inspire and model what is possible.  She followed that up with a query to the group on how can PULSE provide resources for adjuncts who are often major boots on the ground in first-year courses.  One quick response from Steven Robinow (Cal State-Chico) was coming up with professional development for adjuncts.  David Marcey (Cal Lutheran) suggested perhaps a SCPI workshop could explore this in some capacity.

All and all, this open zoom meeting was a nice success even though we only had four new PULSE Community members in on the call:

Jennifer Katcher (Pima Community College)

Martina Rosenberg (University of New Mexico)

Adriana Visbal (University of Houston-Downtown, UHD)

Sean Walker (Cal State Fullerton)

Happy trails - Akif Uzman (UHD)

Looking forward to see more SW PULSErs in our next open zoom call in a couple of months.

Hello all,

I was sad I could not attend, as I was teaching that day and time. Was the meeting recorded or are there more details? Am specifically interested in what is the SCPI workshop/grant mentioned in the message. Looking forward meeting you soon,

Ana
