This was one of the running themes at the NCCSTS conference.  If you are using cases and/or PBL, where have you gotten your case materials, and what is your experience adapting them to your classes? Continue

Thanks, Pat! I agree, the NCCSTS conference has been outstanding.  Such a dedicated and enthusiastic group of educators interested in engaging students and providing relevant contexts for learning science!  It highlights the importance of the work that this community is doing, ensuring that there is support for implementation when they return to their institutions.

I also have appreciated the interactions between the undergraduate and high school educators here - it is a reminder to keep that continuum in mind as we proceed.

This Friday and Saturday over 100 people are attending the Fall Case Conference at Buffalo.

Karen and Mark did a remarkable workshop on CASE-It.  I presented a workshop with my colleague Drew Kohlhorst on Integrating Quantiative skills into Cases...using data sets, simulations like PHet and ESTEEM.

The reception for these ideas was exceptional.  Aditi Pai from Spelman showed how she used Facebook and video cases.

There is a remarkable community here and in the SCN group.
