I am having a hard time to convince my colleagues to embrace V&C. Do you have an advice for me?
Journal club is a good idea. Thank you!
What I hear is "we are too busy, spread thin, not enough time, etc."
Thank you for your input. Good discussion.
Thank you for joining in! Stay in touch!
Can you share the url to the active learning site?
link to Resources web site (under construction):
Thank you! Can I suggest adding the Animal Diversity Web's active querying portal:
Thanks - i'll add that to the resource web page (Active Learning) - If you wanted to provide a brief annotation, that would be great.
Thanks David, here's a stab at it:
"Quaardvark is a tool for creating complex queries that allows you to dig through the underlying database of the Animal Diversity Web and other databases that we automatically harvest. Students can use this tool to test hypotheses and discover patterns in the natural world on their own. The site has a library of activities that have been tested in classrooms and are useful in a wide variety of organismal biology courses.
I am having a hard time getting to the idea resources link. When I go to the group page for the spreading the pulse page it looks different than the one on the screen and does not have a link for ideas for resources discussion. Can you help me? Thanks
Mary, you are right - you have to scroll to the bottom of the group page and click on View All to see the full list of discussions. Here is a direct link to the discussion on toolkit resources http://www.pulsecommunity.org/group/vncase/forum/topics/ideas-for-a....
