Event Description

The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the Office of Sponsored Programs are pleased to host a two-days CURE workshop on UWA campus. We invite applications to participate in the CURE workshop. The workshop is modeled on the National Academies Summer Institutes, where participants will learn about and use evidencebased teaching strategies to develop a CURE they will teach at their home institution. The workshop will be presented by Dr. Erin Dolan and others. Dr. Dolan co-ordinates a national network of educators and programs creating and assessing course-based undergraduate research experiences in biology, called CUREnet. Course-based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CURE) Workshop October 28-29, 2016 University of West Alabama Campus | Livingston, AL The University of West Alabama will sponsor on-site meeting expenses, teaching materials and meals Lodging is not covered (local hotel rate is $80 per night)
